Prompt: Research a topic in cyberbullying.
I researched potential ways to end cyberbullying, and why certain demographics experience worse rates than others. I proposed a study that examined if certain cohorts had experienced longer durations of cyberbullying and how its implications could alter policy and reform for social media companies or government outreach.

Prompt: Watch a TedTalk from a given list and summarize it. Explore how it relates to what we’ve learned in class.
I wanted to explore memory because of how it is affected with various situations. We had touched on memory for a short time, and I wanted to delve deeper into the different ways it is affected.

Prompt: Write about some news in psychology and explore its implications.
I have always been interested in how plants can be used as medicine, as the world has been brewing poultices and potions for millennia. I wondered how the rediscovery of psilocybin as medicine fit in with treatment resistant depression, amid the news of ketamine being approved for such illnesses.

Prompt: Find a research topic related to affect and emotions and explore its broader implications.
I chose guilt and shame because of how prevalent it is in certain populations, and I wanted to explore where it is in the brain and why we feel these emotions so intensely, even when we are not directly responsible.
